Nothing Headphone (1) Pro review

Full review

Nothing's Headphone (1) Pro is the most spec-heavy model on the list. Each ear cup uses three drivers: a 40 mm bass driver, a 13 x 8 mm precision driver and an xMEMS solid-state driver for treble. Ten microphones are used, including five on each side for hybrid noise cancelling.

Nothing quotes noise cancelling of up to 46 dB, but says this is a theoretical maximum from its own lab tests, so real results will be lower. Battery life with ANC on is up to 30 hours using AAC and 28 hours using LDAC, rising to 68 and 53 hours with ANC off. Bluetooth 6.1 is supported, along with dual connection so two devices can stay paired.

For wired listening you get USB-C audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz and a 3.5 mm AUX connection to 24-bit/96 kHz, and the headphones come with a hardshell case. IP52 is rare in this class and gives some protection against dust and splashes, though Nothing says it is not full waterproofing.

At 327 g they are heavier than the Bose and Sonos options, and Nothing does not state whether the headband folds or give a quick-charge figure. It is a good pick if you want unusual hardware and wired flexibility.
