Yonex Nanoflare 700 Pro (NF700P) review

Full review

Nanoflare is Yonex's speed series, and the 700 Pro is the most approachable of its PRO-tier models. It is head light with a medium-flex shaft, so it swings quickly and does not demand a lightning wrist to make the shaft work.

That combination suits players who spend a lot of time in fast exchanges: front-court doubles players, mixed-doubles women at the net, and anyone whose game relies on blocking, driving and counter-attacking. The Sonic Flare System and enlarged frame top are there to keep the head stable and give a reasonable sweet spot despite the light balance.

What you give up is weight behind your smash. You can still hit hard, but the shuttle will not come down as heavily as from an Astrox 99 or 88D. Players moving over from a head-heavy racquet sometimes find the first few sessions feel twitchy until their timing adjusts.

At a lower list price than the other PRO frames here, and with a light 5U option, the Nanoflare 700 Pro is a sensible upgrade for an improving doubles player who wants more speed rather than more power.
