LG B6 65" (OLED65B65LA) review

Full review

If you want an OLED but the C6 is a stretch, the B6 is the obvious alternative. It uses a standard WOLED panel without LG's 'evo' brightness upgrades and a less powerful Alpha 8 processor, but it keeps the things that make OLED special: true black, no blooming and wide viewing angles.

On paper the gap to the C6 is brightness and processing. The C6 has the evo panel, the Alpha 11 processor and a 165Hz top refresh rate, while the B6 stops at 120Hz. In a dim room that difference matters little; in a bright room the C6 should look punchier, so think about where the TV will live.

It still has four HDMI 2.1 ports with VRR and ALLM, which is generous at this price, and eARC on HDMI 2. Refresh tops out at 120Hz, matching what current consoles output. HDR formats are Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG.

The stand's feet sit near the edges, so check your furniture is wide enough. For evening viewers and console gamers on a budget, it is excellent value.
