Full review
The Pixel Watch 5 is the natural pick for an Android phone user who wants the cleanest Google experience. It runs Wear OS 7.0 on a Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip with a separate low-power co-processor, and Google says it pairs with most phones on Android 12 or newer.
The round LTPO AMOLED screen reaches up to 3,000 nits at around 320 ppi, and the case comes in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes at 31 g and 36.7 g without a band. Google lists dual-frequency GPS, NFC for payments, a skin temperature sensor, SpO2, an optical heart rate sensor and an ECG-compatible sensor, plus 4G LTE on the cellular versions. Water protection is 5 ATM and IP68.
Battery is the weak spot for a flagship. Google quotes up to 30 hours for the 41 mm and up to 40 hours for the 45 mm with the always-on display left on, so plan to charge most nights. The Quick Charge Dock reaches 50 percent in about 15 minutes, which softens that.
If you carry a Pixel phone you get the deepest integration, but it also works well with other Android handsets. It does not support iPhone.
