Soundcore Motion 300 review

Full review

The Motion 300 is the budget pick here, and its feature list is generous for a low-cost portable speaker. Soundcore quotes up to 13 hours of playtime, measured at 50% volume with Bass Mode off, and charging takes about four hours over USB-C with a certified 5V/3A charger that is not included.

The speaker has two 15 W full-range drivers for 30 W in total and supports SBC, AAC and LDAC, though LDAC needs Android 8.0 or later and does not work on an iPhone. Bluetooth is version 5.3.

For pairing, you can link two Motion 300 speakers in True Wireless Stereo. It cannot join PartyCast with other Soundcore models, so it is not a choice for large multi-speaker setups. It has no power bank function and no aux input.

It is rated IPX7, which Soundcore says relies on the waterproof cover being sealed tightly before submerging. Note that IPX7 refers to water only and does not include a dust rating, unlike the IP67 and IP68 speakers here.

Soundcore's page does not list weight, dimensions or microphone support, so those are shown as not stated. For a budget stereo pair with LDAC, it covers the basics.
