Soundcore P40i review

Full review

The P40i is Soundcore's long-life budget pair. The headline figures are up to 12 hours per charge from the earbuds (10 hours with noise cancelling or transparency on) and up to 60 hours with the case (50 hours with ANC). A ten-minute charge adds around five hours, and the case supports wireless charging as well as a wall charger.

It uses 11 mm composite drivers with Soundcore's BassUp feature, and six microphones with AI processing for calls. The ANC is adaptive and can be cycled with a two-second press and hold, or changed in the app. Soundcore calls its multipoint feature Dual Connections, enabled by holding both earbuds for five seconds or in the app.

The IPX5 rating is a step above the IPX4 on many rivals, so sweat and rain are less of a worry.

The page does not list the Bluetooth version, codecs or weight, so we have marked those as not stated rather than guess. It also gives no decibel figure for the noise cancelling. If you want a documented LDAC option, the Space A40 is the better bet. If battery life and splash protection matter more, the P40i is easier to recommend.
