Hisense M2 Pro 4K Mini Projector
Best compact 4K

Best for: Compact RGB-laser 4K for dark rooms · Premium

Our verdict: A small triple-laser 4K projector with strong colour and Dolby Vision support, held back by a fixed power cable and VIDAA's thinner app list.

Full review

The M2 Pro is Hisense's smallest 4K laser projector, a squat box of about 3.9 kg that is easy to move between rooms but is designed to sit on a table or shelf rather than be carried about on battery. It uses a red, green and blue laser light source, which is the main reason to choose it over cheaper LED rivals: colours are rich and the claimed 1,300 ANSI lumens is enough for a darkened living room.

The feature list is generous. It decodes Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG and HDR10+, offers an HDMI 2.1 input with auto low-latency mode and an eARC port for a soundbar, and adds Ethernet and a USB 3.0 port. The maker quotes 12 ms input lag in Game Mode, but independent measurements point to that applying at 1080p, with a figure nearer 30 ms at 4K 60 Hz, so competitive gamers should look at the detail.

The built-in 2 x 10 W speakers are decent for casual viewing. The software is VIDAA, which covers the big streaming services but has a thinner app catalogue than Google TV, so some people will add a stick.

The throw ratio is flexible, with a roughly 2.2 to 2.9 m distance for a 100-inch picture according to retailer and calculator figures. It is a sensible step-up for people who want laser colour in a small body and can control room light.

Spec check note: We could not read Hisense's European M2 Pro pages in full; specs are from Hisense's Canadian page and the price from Hisense Belgium's listing on 2 Nov 2026 (launch price €1,399). Throw ratio is not on the maker's page; 1.0-1.3:1 is from retailer listings and the 100-inch distance varies by source (about 2.2 to 3.3 m). Some listings quote 1,200 lumens; we used the maker's 1,300 ANSI lumens. The 12 ms input lag is the maker's Game Mode figure; independent measurements suggest about 30 ms at 4K 60 Hz.
