LG OLED evo G6 65" (OLED65G64LW) review

Full review

The G6 is LG's premium OLED, aimed at people who want the brightest LG picture and a TV that hangs flush against the wall like a picture frame. The UK model ending in LW is the wall-mount version, designed to be hung rather than stood on furniture, so check what stand is supplied if you want it on furniture.

LG's UK page lists the same connectivity as the C6: four HDMI inputs with 4K 120Hz, VRR up to 165Hz, ALLM and QMS, with eARC on HDMI 2. HDR support is Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG.

The G6 earns its higher price with brightness. It uses LG's top panel and processing, so HDR highlights, such as sunlight on water or explosions, have more impact than on the 65-inch C6, and it holds up better in a room with daylight.

Whether that is worth the extra money depends on your room. In a living room with curtains drawn for films, the C6 gets you most of the way. If you watch a lot in daytime or want the slimmest wall-hung look, the G6 is the one to choose.
