The M80H is Samsung's entry-level Mini LED TV for 2026 and the cheapest set in this comparison. It is usually the least expensive 55-inch Mini LED from a major brand.
Samsung's UK page lists a 100Hz native panel with Motion Xcelerator up to 144Hz. All three HDMI inputs support 4K 120Hz with VRR from consoles and 4K 144Hz from a PC, with ALLM, HGiG and FreeSync Premium, so it is a capable gaming TV for the money. One HDMI port handles eARC for a soundbar.
Unlike the QN80H it is a standard Mini LED rather than Neo QLED, and Samsung does not publish a zone count, so expect less refined backlight control and more blooming around bright objects on dark backgrounds than the pricier sets here. HDR is HDR10+ and HLG; there is no Dolby Vision.
The sound is a simple 20W two-channel system, adequate for news and chat shows but thin for films. Samsung promises Tizen OS and security updates until 31 December 2031. At 10kg and with a 200 x 200 VESA pattern, it is easy to mount on most walls. In the US it is sold as the UN55M80HAFXZA.
