Beko UR4584W review

Full review

The UR4584W is the icebox version of Beko's UL4584W. It has the same 840 x 540 x 590mm cabinet, but swaps some fridge space for a 13-litre, 4-star freezer compartment. Beko's UK page lists 101 litres of fridge space and 114 litres in total; Marks Electrical gives the same 101 + 13 split in its key features.

A 4-star icebox reaches -18 degrees or colder, so it will hold ice cubes, a few frozen meals and a bag of peas long term. It is a useful compromise in a bedsit, student flat or holiday home.

The trade-off is energy: E rated at 137 kWh a year, against 90 kWh for the larder version, because keeping a freezer section cold takes more work. Noise is 36 dB(A), class C. The icebox needs defrosting by hand; the fridge section defrosts automatically.

Inside you get adjustable glass shelves, a large salad crisper and three door racks, and the door is reversible. Beko rates it climate class T, for rooms from 16 to 43 degrees. It also comes in silver (UR4584S). Marks Electrical listed it in stock when we checked.
