Full review
Bosch's Series 6 heat pump dryer is sold as WQG24502GB in the UK and as WQG24500GB in Ireland, with the same 9 kg drum, 842 x 598 x 613 mm body and 61 dB(A) noise level on both Bosch sites. It is the quietest dryer in this comparison, which matters if the laundry area is off the kitchen.
The two codes carry different energy labels. UK retailer RDO shows the old GB label: A+++ and 193 kWh a year. Bosch Ireland and the BSH EU datasheet show the newer EU label used since July 2025: class C, about 110 kWh per 100 cycles (1.10 kWh per weighted cycle), a 3 h 15 min full-load Eco cycle and condensation efficiency of 88 per cent (class B). Same machine, different test and scale, so compare like with like.
The self-cleaning condenser means there is no condenser to rinse, just a fluff filter. AutoDry stops when clothes reach the dryness you choose, and Super Quick 40 handles small loads. Water goes to the tank with a full indicator, or you can fit the drain hose.
There is no app, and Bosch's own UK shop showed it as unavailable when we checked, though RDO and Currys listed it. Bosch offers five years of cover if you buy by 31 March 2027 and register.
