Full review
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is the phone to buy if you want an iPhone and you want it to last all day without thinking about a charger. Apple quotes up to 45 hours of video playback, and the energy label Apple publishes in the EU lists a 5,391 mAh battery, the biggest it has ever put in a phone.
The 6.9-inch OLED screen refreshes at up to 120Hz and reaches 3,000 nits outdoors, so it stays readable in bright sun. The new A20 Pro chip is more than fast enough for gaming, video editing and Apple Intelligence features.
All three rear cameras are 48MP: a main camera, a 13mm ultrawide and a 4x (100mm) telephoto. Apple describes the range as 16x optical-quality zoom, from the ultrawide to the telephoto. The 18MP front camera uses Center Stage to keep you framed on video calls.
The downsides are the size, the 249 g weight and the price. If you want the same cameras and chip in a smaller, lighter phone, the iPhone 18 Pro below costs €150 less in Ireland.
