Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (10.9") review

Full review

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is the tablet to buy if you want to write on it. Samsung includes the S Pen in the box, and the pen never needs charging for writing, so it is ready whenever you pick it up. Samsung Notes, PDF annotation and handwriting-to-text work well, which is why this is such a popular student tablet.

The 10.9-inch LCD has a crisp 2304 x 1440 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is not as smooth or as sharp as the Xiaomi Pad 8, but it is pleasant for streaming, reading and video calls. The Exynos 1580 chip with 8GB of RAM handles everyday apps comfortably; demanding 3D games will need lower settings.

Practical touches set it apart from cheaper rivals. There is a dedicated microSD slot for cheap extra storage, a 5G version for working on the move, a side fingerprint sensor, and Samsung DeX, which gives you a desktop-style layout with a keyboard. Samsung also promises seven years of Android and security updates, the longest support in this price range.

The 8,000 mAh battery supports 45W charging, but you need to supply the plug. Check the buttons for current prices.
