Full review
The UR8S is Hisense's mid-range RGB Mini LED TV for 2026. Like Sony's True RGB sets it uses separate red, green and blue LEDs in the backlight, aiming for bright, saturated colour.
Hisense UK lists a 180Hz panel and four HDMI 2.1 inputs, all supporting VRR up to 180Hz and ALLM, with eARC on HDMI 3 and input lag of 7ms or less at 4K 120Hz, as claimed by Hisense. That is a far stronger gaming spec than Sony's RGB TVs. HDR support is broad, covering Dolby Vision 2, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10 and HLG.
Sound is better than usual too: Hisense lists a 2.1.2 system with up-firing speakers and a subwoofer (2 x 10W + 20W + 2 x 5W, 50W in total), tuned by Devialet.
The downsides are software and set-up. VIDAA covers the major UK apps but has a smaller app catalogue than Google TV, and as with most TVs the vivid picture modes will look overdone, so Filmmaker or Cinema modes are a better starting point. Hisense does not publish the zone count.
At 75 inches Hisense lists 30.2kg without the stand.
