Full review
The Attain SLX shows how much bike you can now get from an aluminium frame. It carries the full Shimano 105 R7100 groupset with 12-speed shifting and hydraulic disc brakes, parts that were once the preserve of much dearer carbon bikes. Add a carbon fork, tubeless-ready wheels and 30 mm Continental Grand Prix tyres, and the spec reads like a bike at a higher price.
Cube describes the frame as having road comfort geometry, and semi-aero tube shapes and internal cable routing give it a clean, modern look. The 50/34T chainset and 11-34T cassette give a gear range suited to rolling terrain, though riders in very steep areas might want something lower.
The weight is listed at around 9.6 kg, which is light for an aluminium disc bike. The main limit is tyre room: 32 mm is the maximum, so it is less suited to gravel tracks than the Canyon AllRoad or Giant Contend. It is more of a fast, comfortable fitness and club-ride bike than a do-everything machine.
If you want the most expensive-feeling groupset for the least money and mostly ride on tarmac, the Attain SLX is the pick of the aluminium bikes here.

Spec check note: Cube's product page loads its specification through a separate portal that we could not read, so parts come from a UK Cube dealer's listing of Cube's specification. Rotor size, the 9.6 kg weight and the 47 to 62 cm size range come from other listings of the same bike and are not on that dealer page. Some shops already sell a 2027 colour of this bike, so check the parts on the one you buy.
