Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum is the fragrance you can wear to a job interview, a wedding and a Sunday lunch without anyone wincing. Chanel describes it as aromatic and woody with ambery and musky notes, built on cedar and creamy New Caledonian sandalwood.

The style is clean and woody, smooth rather than sharp, and Chanel positions the Eau de Parfum as rounder and warmer than the Eau de Toilette. Chanel does not publish wear times, but its polite character is exactly why it suits offices and close contact.

It is not the most exciting scent here, and if you want something that announces you across a room, YSL Y or Sauvage will do more.
