LG C6 83" OLED evo (OLED83C64LA) review

Full review

The C6 is the model many people think of when they ask for a gaming OLED, and the 83-inch size is the largest in LG's C series. LG lists four HDMI inputs that support 4K at 120 Hz, with variable refresh rate, ALLM, Quick Media Switching and Quick Frame Transport. The page also gives a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz in 4K for PC users, plus both G-Sync Compatible and FreeSync Premium certification.

LG's Game Dashboard and Optimiser gathers refresh rate, latency and picture settings in one screen, and HGiG is available for consistent HDR. LG gives a response time of under 0.1 ms but not an input lag figure, so we do not claim one. A reminder: response time and input lag are different measurements.

On picture, you get Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, which many gamers on Xbox and streaming apps will use. The alpha 11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 handles upscaling, and speaker output is 40 W with a virtual 11.1.2 Atmos effect. The webOS 26 interface is quick and well supported. At 83 inches it weighs about 33 kg with the stand and uses a 400 x 400 mm mount, so measure your space. Only HDMI 2 carries eARC, which matters if you connect a soundbar.
