Panasonic 32S55 32" Fire TV (TV-32S55AEY) review

Full review

The Panasonic 32S55 brings a familiar name to the small-TV market. It is a 32-inch Full HD LED set with an edge-lit backlight, HDR10 and HLG, a 60 Hz panel and Panasonic's HD Colour Engine processor. Fire TV is the smart platform, with Alexa built in, so the voice remote controls apps, smart-home devices and search.

The design is plain and compact, at 728 mm wide and 4.5 kg without the stand, and it uses a small 75 x 75 mm VESA pattern, so check your wall bracket before buying. Speakers are 2 x 6 W, which is adequate for speech but not for film soundtracks. There are two HDMI ports, enough for a streaming stick and a console or a Blu-ray player.

The main caution is that this looks like an older design. The retailer page we could read does not state a launch year or the tuner types, and newer sets from other brands in this group use QLED panels or extra tuner types. It makes sense mainly if you prefer the Panasonic name and want Alexa on the remote. Check current stock and the exact model code with the retailer before buying.
