Best 32-inch TVs in 2026

Updated · 5 products compared · 16 features compared

A 32-inch TV is the right size for a kitchen worktop, a child's bedroom, a spare room or a caravan. At this size the choice is between simple HD Ready sets and Full HD models, usually with a built-in smart platform and a digital tuner.

We compared five 32-inch TVs sold in Europe on resolution, panel type, HDR support, HDMI ports, tuner types, smart platform and size. Most are Full HD, and none of them has 4K, because it makes little difference on a screen this small. Prices change often, so check today's price with the buttons.

Pros

  • Full HD resolution and a QLED panel at 32 inches
  • One HDMI port supports eARC for a small soundbar
  • Digital tuners and a CI slot suit UK and Irish aerials
  • Light at 4.0 kg without the stand

Cons

  • Only two HDMI ports
  • 50 Hz panel and 10 W speakers
  • No Dolby Vision listed

The Q5F is the most complete 32-inch set in this group on paper. Samsung lists a Full HD 1920 x 1080 panel with QLED colour and Quantum HDR, which is a step up in colour from the plain LED screens that dominate this size. At 32 inches the extra pixels matter less than they do on a big screen, but text and menus look cleaner than they do on an HD Ready set.

The tuner section is practical for this part of Europe. Samsung lists a DVB-T2CS2 digital tuner, an analogue tuner and a CI slot, so an aerial or a satellite dish can both be connected directly. Smart features run on Tizen, with Bixby built in and support for Alexa and Google Assistant through separate speakers. One of the two HDMI ports supports eARC, which is useful if you add a small soundbar to improve on the 10 W speakers.

The trade-offs are typical for the size. Two HDMI ports is enough for a console and a streaming stick, but not much more. The refresh rate is 50 Hz, so it is not aimed at gaming, and Samsung does not list Dolby Vision. For a bedroom, a kitchen counter or a desk, it is a tidy and well-specified choice.

Pros

  • Full HD at a modest tier
  • Tizen is simple and quick to use
  • Digital and analogue tuners with a CI slot
  • Lightest set in this group without its stand

Cons

  • Standard LED panel without quantum dots
  • 50 Hz refresh and 10 W speakers
  • Only two HDMI ports

The F6000 is a straightforward 32-inch smart TV from a 2025 range, and it suits rooms where nobody is judging the picture. Samsung lists a Full HD panel, HDR and HDR10+ support, and the Hyper Real processor, so streaming apps look sharp enough for everyday viewing and children's programmes.

Tizen is one of the easier smart platforms to live with. Menus are quick, apps are easy to find, and the remote is simple, which matters in a kitchen or a spare room where the TV is used by everyone. Bixby is built in, and Alexa and Google Assistant are supported in listed regions. Samsung also lists a DVB-T2C digital tuner, an analogue tuner and a CI slot.

Because it uses a plain LED panel rather than the QLED screen of the Q5F, colours are less vivid and it is not the set to pick for dark-room film nights. Both HDMI ports are limited to a console and a box, though the listing mentions eARC for adding a soundbar. The 10 W speakers are fine for the news but thin for films. If you want a no-fuss TV for a smaller room, it does that job.

Each shop shows its own price, currency and delivery terms. Not every shop delivers abroad, and taxes can differ.

Pros

  • Terrestrial, satellite and cable tuners
  • 14 W speakers are louder than most at this size
  • QLED panel at a budget tier
  • Light at 3.4 kg without the stand

Cons

  • HDMI 1.4 ports only
  • No Dolby Vision
  • Voice assistant support not stated

The A5S is a budget QLED that covers every common way of receiving TV. The retailer listing shows DVB-T2, DVB-S2 and DVB-C tuners, so it works with a terrestrial aerial, a satellite dish or a cable service without extra boxes. That flexibility is useful in a bedroom, holiday home or caravan where you do not know in advance how the signal will arrive.

The panel is a 32-inch Full HD QLED with a Direct-LED backlight and a 60 Hz native refresh. The listing quotes a 1200:1 typical contrast ratio, which is modest, so do not expect deep blacks. HDR is limited to HDR10 and HLG. The speakers are rated at 14 W RMS with Dolby and DTS decoding, which makes it one of the louder sets in this group.

The weaker points are the connections and platform details. There are two HDMI ports and they are listed as HDMI 1.4, so this is not a gaming TV. VIDAA is the smart platform, and the listing does not mention voice assistant support. As a simple, inexpensive second TV that can take almost any signal, it is a sensible choice.

Each shop shows its own price, currency and delivery terms. Not every shop delivers abroad, and taxes can differ.

Pros

  • Full HD QLED panel at the lowest tier
  • Fire TV with Alexa voice control
  • AirPlay 2 built in
  • Lightest set here at 3.2 kg

Cons

  • Audio power and tuner types not listed
  • Two HDMI 1.4 ports
  • No Dolby Vision on the manufacturer's list

The V5D is the budget pick of the group. It pairs a Full HD QLED panel with Fire TV, so you get the Amazon interface, Prime Video and Alexa voice control on the remote at a low tier. TCL lists HDR10 and HLG, Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X sound processing, and built-in AirPlay 2 for streaming from Apple devices.

Retailer listings give a 60 Hz panel, two HDMI 1.4 ports and a weight of around 3.2 kg without the stand, so it is easy to mount on a bracket or move between rooms. The picture should look cleaner than a basic LED set because of the quantum dot layer, but as with any 32-inch Full HD TV, it is a convenience screen rather than a home cinema.

There are caveats. TCL does not list speaker power on its page, and tuner details are not given in the sources we could read, so check the tuner type before relying on an aerial. Fire TV also puts Amazon content front and centre, which some people dislike. If you want a simple Alexa-enabled screen for a bedroom or kitchen, it is a good low-cost starting point.

Spec check note: TCL's page confirmed QLED, Full HD, HDR10 and HLG, Fire TV and Alexa. Dimensions and weight come from a specification database (it gave 715 x 422 x 75 mm and 3.2 kg without stand); the HDR line there also mentioned Dolby Vision, which TCL's page does not, so we kept the manufacturer's HDR10 and HLG. Audio power, tuner types, VESA pattern and year were not available.

Pros

  • Full HD with HDR10 and HLG
  • Fire TV with built-in Alexa
  • 60 Hz panel and HD Colour Engine processing
  • Small VESA 75 x 75 mount

Cons

  • Edge-lit LED without quantum dots
  • Only 2 x 6 W speakers
  • Newer rivals offer QLED at similar tiers

The Panasonic 32S55 brings a familiar name to the small-TV market. It is a 32-inch Full HD LED set with an edge-lit backlight, HDR10 and HLG, a 60 Hz panel and Panasonic's HD Colour Engine processor. Fire TV is the smart platform, with Alexa built in, so the voice remote controls apps, smart-home devices and search.

The design is plain and compact, at 728 mm wide and 4.5 kg without the stand, and it uses a small 75 x 75 mm VESA pattern, so check your wall bracket before buying. Speakers are 2 x 6 W, which is adequate for speech but not for film soundtracks. There are two HDMI ports, enough for a streaming stick and a console or a Blu-ray player.

The main caution is that this looks like an older design. The retailer page we could read does not state a launch year or the tuner types, and newer sets from other brands in this group use QLED panels or extra tuner types. It makes sense mainly if you prefer the Panasonic name and want Alexa on the remote. Check current stock and the exact model code with the retailer before buying.

Buying guide

HD Ready, Full HD or 4K at 32 inches?

Full HD (1920 x 1080) is the sensible choice at 32 inches. It gives sharper text and menus than HD Ready (1366 x 768), and the extra cost is small. 4K is almost never offered at this size and you could not see the difference from a normal viewing distance. All five TVs here are Full HD.

Tuners, Freeview and Saorview

Most 32-inch TVs in Ireland and the UK have a DVB-T2 digital tuner, which is the standard used by Freeview HD and Saorview. Satellite (DVB-S2) and cable (DVB-C) tuners are less common at this size. The Hisense lists all three, and the Samsung models list a DVB-T2 tuner with a CI slot. Where a TV does not state its tuner types, check the manual before relying on an aerial.

Some UK sets are sold as Freely models, which stream live channels over the internet instead of using an aerial. That does not replace a normal tuner on every model, so check what is in the box.

Choosing a smart platform

Tizen (Samsung), VIDAA (Hisense) and Fire TV (TCL and Panasonic) all cover the main streaming apps. Fire TV and the Alexa remote suit Amazon households. Tizen is the quickest to learn. Check that your favourite catch-up apps are available on the platform before you buy.

Check ports, mounting and sound

Two HDMI ports are normal at this size, so count your devices first: one console and one streaming stick fills them. Small TVs use small VESA mounting patterns, from 75 x 75 mm to 200 x 200 mm, so match your wall bracket to the exact model. Built-in speakers on 32-inch TVs are weak, and a compact soundbar with eARC or optical input is a cheap upgrade.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best 32-inch TV in 2026?

Of the TVs we compared, the Samsung Q5F offers the strongest feature list with a QLED panel, Full HD resolution and a full set of tuners. For a lower tier, the TCL V5D adds Fire TV and Alexa.

Do I need a 4K TV at 32 inches?

No. At 32 inches and normal viewing distances, Full HD looks as sharp as 4K to most eyes. Spend the difference on a better panel, sound or more HDMI ports instead.

Will a 32-inch TV work with Freeview or Saorview?

Most TVs with a DVB-T2 digital tuner work with Freeview HD in the UK and Saorview in Ireland. Check that the listing states DVB-T2, as not every manufacturer lists its tuner types.

Can I use a 32-inch TV as a computer monitor?

Yes, over HDMI, and Full HD is the right resolution for it. These TVs have a 50 or 60 Hz refresh rate, so they suit office work and video, but not fast competitive gaming.

What size wall bracket does a 32-inch TV need?

It depends on the model. The sets here use VESA patterns from 75 x 75 mm to 200 x 200 mm, so check the exact pattern in the table before buying a bracket.
