Beko Pro BDFS16031W review

Full review

The BDFS16031W is about as cheap as a decent slimline dishwasher gets, yet it has a feature many budget models lack: a removable cutlery tray at the top as well as a cutlery basket. Beko's UK page and Currys both list 10 place settings, a D energy rating at 67 kWh per 100 Eco cycles and 10.5 litres of water.

Energy use matches the far dearer Bosch SPS4HMI14G, but water use is higher, and at 46 dB(A), noise class C, it is the loudest machine here. Beko quotes the Eco cycle at 4 hours 55 minutes. There are six programmes, including a 58-minute Quick&Shine and a 30-minute Mini, and a half-load option. SteamGloss adds heat at the end of the cycle to improve drying, but the door does not open automatically.

Leak protection is a basic overflow device, and there is no Wi-Fi or child lock. Beko gives one year's guarantee, plus a 10-year parts guarantee if you register within 90 days.

For a rental, a utility room or a small household on a budget, it does the basics well. If you can stretch, the Bosch is quieter and better equipped.
