Hisense E7Q Pro 55-inch QLED (55E7QTUK PRO) review

Full review

If you mainly bought a TV to play games, the E7Q Pro is the one to look at in this price range. Hisense UK lists a 144Hz panel and three HDMI 2.1 inputs: all three support auto low latency mode, and HDMI 2 and 3 add variable refresh rate up to 144Hz. That covers a PS5 and an Xbox Series X at 4K 120Hz, or a gaming PC at 144Hz, with the eARC soundbar on HDMI 2.

It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, including the gaming versions of both, which is rare at this level, and Hisense claims input lag of 7ms or less at 4K 120Hz.

What it lacks is local dimming. Hisense's own page says 'No' to local dimming, and the native contrast figure of 3,800:1 is typical of a decent VA panel rather than a Mini LED. In a dark room, expect blacks to look dark grey and HDR to have less punch than on the TCL P8L or C6KS. In a normally lit living room the difference is smaller.

The VIDAA smart system has the main UK apps, including Freely, but a smaller app store than Google TV. The E7Q Pro is a 2025 model, but it is still widely sold in the UK, Ireland and the EU, and its gaming features hold up well against newer budget sets.
