Full review

The Giant Stance E+ 2 is built around a simple idea: give newer trail riders full suspension and a strong battery without a premium price. The SyncDrive Sport2 motor, made with Yamaha, is rated at 75 Nm, and the EnergyPak Smart battery holds 625 Wh on the current spec sheet we found. Giant also sells a 250 Wh range extender for this frame, which gives a big margin on long days.

The chassis uses Giant's FlexPoint rear end, a flex-pivot design that gives 125 mm of travel with fewer bearings to maintain, paired with a 140 mm SR Suntour fork. Wheels are 29 in with grippy Maxxis tyres, and Tektro Orion four-piston brakes with 203 mm rotors give confidence on steep descents, which is notable at this level. Shifting comes from a ten-speed Shimano Deore LinkGlide drivetrain, which is built for the extra load that e-bike motors put on the chain.

The bike does not pretend to be a race machine. The suspension components are basic, the gearing is narrower than on twelve-speed rivals, and Giant does not publish a weight. It is best seen as a robust, forgiving trail bike that you can buy and service at a local dealer.

Specs vary by region and year, so confirm the battery size and colour with the shop before you order.

Spec check note: Giant's current German-language spec sheet lists the SyncDrive Sport2 (75 Nm) and a 625 Wh battery. An older English (Ireland) sheet for the same name lists a 70 Nm motor and 500 Wh battery, so earlier stock may differ; we use the newer sheet. Giant publishes no weight or claimed range for this model, so both are shown as not published. Giant's UK page quotes 120 mm rear travel in some text but 125 mm in the specification, and we use 125 mm.
